
HANAHAN, S.C.–Police are investigating the death of a man after his body was discovered in a body of water in Hanahan.
At 7:14 p.m. on Wednesday, the Hanahan Telecommunications Center received a phone call about a human body floating in the water near the dock by Dominion Villageat the Turkey Creek inlet.
Members of the Hanahan Police and Hanahan Fire Departments located the body shortly after arrival.
This matter is currently under investigation and awaiting the coroner’s arrival, authorities stated.
Responding parties: Department of Natural Resources, Hanahan Police Department, Hanahan Fire Department, Berkeley County Coroner, Charleston County Rescue.
