GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–The Goose Creek Fire Department is currently on the scene of a large two-story structure fire at 936 Sheep Island Road. Crews say the home is fully involved. They have set up a command center.
Several other agencies including the Pine Ridge Fire Department, Whitesville Fire Department and Berkeley Co. EMS are also on the scene.
The Berkeley Co. Sheriff’s Office is on scene managing traffic.
The fire has caused several power lines to fall to the ground as well as on fire equipment. Several firefighters report that a power crew is on the way to repair the lines.
Crews on scene say two men were living inside the house, but they managed to get out okay.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
This makes the second fire in two days for Goose Creek. Saturday there was a fire that occurred near Seagreen Lane.
