GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–It may not be the day after Thanksgiving, but Berkeley County folks aren’t playing around when it comes to the chilly temperatures.
Weather forecasters are predicting possible snow and power outages throughout the Lowcountry.
In anticipation of the unpleasant weather, people have been flocking to local stores, stocking up on supplies.
Walmart employees at the Goose Creek location say the have been unusually busy.
They say they have just about run out of many popular supplies. At the moment, consumers have just about emptied the shelves containing large gas containers, flashlights, sleeping bags, hot hands and fire logs.
This morning workers say the lines to the cash registers have been very steady.
Workers say that Walmart plans to stick to its normal business hours of 24/7.
