BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–It’s that time of year again that most people dread—tax season.
While it can be stressful, one local organization wants to take the pain out of filing your return.
The Benefit Bank of South Carolina will be helping tax payers complete their returns free of charge.
Anyone who needs their tax return filed will have the opportunity to meet with one of their volunteers this Friday (Feb. 7) from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Santee Cooper in Moncks Corner.
There are a few requirements to take advantage of this free service.
If you are single, you must earn $65,000 or less.
If you are married and filing jointly, you must earn a combined income of $95,000 or less.
The Benefit Bank of South Carolina has made it a mission to help improve the financial, health, and household stability of South Carolina families, assisting people in completing several different applications, for several different agencies–all in one place, all at one time and all during one interview.
