GOOSE CREEK, S.C.—Police are investigating an armed robbery that they say took place Monday evening at a home on Jackson Street inside Lakeview Commons.
According to the police report, the victim was sitting on her couch with her 3-year-old watching television when she heard the back door being kicked in.
The woman stated that a man wearing blue jeans and a light blue shirt came into the house and pointed a large, shiny gun at her and stated, “Where’s the money? Where’s the check?”
The victim says she through her purse to him and told the suspect that she did not have any money. She says the man, who she didn’t recognize, made her put it one sofa and go upstairs.
The victim eventually went back downstairs to find the suspect gone. She told police that she never saw the man before.
The victim told officers on scene that she was in the late stages of pregnancy and was thrown to the floor at some point during the incident. EMS responded to the scene; however, police say the woman declined going to a hospital.
An officer did walk to the back of the home and did notice where the door had been forced open.
K-9 assisted with the search for a suspect but without any luck.
