HANAHAN, S.C.–A Hanahan man says heโ€™s bought his last lottery ticket. Heโ€™s calling it quits following a $125,000 win on a $5 scratch-off this week, figuring he canโ€™t get much luckier than that.

โ€œIโ€™ve been playing forever,โ€ said the husband, whose patience was rewarded on a Giant Jumbo Bucks ticket he bought at the Circle K on Meeting St. in Charleston on his way home from work.

The odds of him winning that prize were close to 1 in a million.

โ€œWhen it happened, I called my wife and asked her if she was sitting down,โ€ the husband said. โ€œShe thought I was lying when I told her that Iโ€™d won.โ€

When he showed his wife the scratch-off with the words โ€œJUMBOโ€ and โ€œ$25,000โ€ printed five times on the ticket, she did the math and knew $125,000 was theirs.

He took her out to dinner to celebrate being debt free.

As of this release, one top prize of $125,000 remains in the $5 Giant Jumbo Bucks game.

For selling the claimed ticket, Circle K Stores #5124 in Charleston received a commission of $1,250.
