
GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–The City of Goose Creek presented its 3rd Annual Beach and BBQ Festival Saturday evening behind city hall along N. Goose Creek Blvd.
The free family-friendly festival attracted hundreds of people and featured live music from Shem Creek Boogie Band sponsored by Goose Creek Heating and Air.
There was also a corn-hole tournament and kid’s play area sponsored by the Goose Creek Recreation Booster Club.
New to the festival this years was the Backyard BBQ Cook-off featuring 10 local BBQ teams competing for to be “Best in Goose Creek.” Channel 2 Meteorologist Rob Fowler was on hand to help judge the contest.
Local BBQ restaurants and other food vendors were also on site selling plenty of good food and drinks.
Many guests brought with them a blanket or chair for seating.
Many could also bring canned goods to benefit Helping Hands of Goose Creek. For those who donated, they received a souvenir hand towel.
