MONCKS CORNER, SC– According to the Berkeley Co. Sheriff’s Office, Moncks Corner resident Gregory Anthony Fields, 28, was arrested Monday after officers pulled him over for disregarding a traffic signal.
A sheriff spokesperson says a Berkeley Country Sheriff’s deputy asked Fields to step out of his car after smelling marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Fields was reportedly caught with almost $1,000 in his pocket and 122 gross grams of marijuana was discovered under his front seat with a street value of approximately $1,230 along with a digital pocket scale.
He was taken into custody and charged possession and intent to distribute.
Fields was booked at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center then released on bond following his hearing Tuesday.
