GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help identifying a person of interest in a recent shooting that put one man in the hospital.
According to deputies, the man seen in the photo is wanted for questioning in the May 8th shooting that took place along 100 Swift Boulevard in the Goose Creek area.
When officers initially arrived on scene, they say they were met by residents who reported hearing gunshots behind one of the buildings. Deputies quickly located a 23-year-old man in another apartment building, and then notified EMS.
The victim was airlifted to MUSC. His condition is still unknown at this time.
Deputies say they located several shell casings on the ground and found four vehicles nearby that looked to be damaged by gunfire.
Investigators estimated the damage to the vehicles to be around $4,600.
So far, the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
