MONCKS CORNER, S.C.– If you have been in the Moncks Corner library recently, you have seen an array of art lining the entrance walls.
The library has partnered with the Berkeley Artists’ Guild to host the Annual Juried Exhibition May 14 through June 5. The public will have a chance to meet the artists Thursday, June 5 from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.
The guild has a variety of categories, from watercolors to acrylics. Each piece of artwork is made by a member of the Guild and the majority of which are for sale.
“We are happy to display the work for the community and we hope they enjoy it,” said Trish Emery, coordinator of the Berkeley Artists’ Guild. “The library has been very generous for letting us use that public space and we are really glad the library is helping to support the arts.”
The Berkeley Artists’ Guild is open to anyone interested in art, their members vary from first time painters to professional artists and is free. They meet at 3 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month from October to May at Trinity Episcopal Church on Pinopolis Road.
