BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–This Friday, the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce will formally recognize Berkeley County’s brightest high school students.
The top senior will also recognize a teacher who has been most influential throughout his or her school career.
Charleston Southern University will host the breakfast in their Strom Thurmond Building.
“As always, we are pleased to have SCANA and Trident Health’s support and participation in making this event a success,” said chamber spokesperson, Lindsey Culley. “Among recognizing each student from nine Berkeley County schools as well as St. John’s Christian Academy, this event is a catalyst in stressing the importance of education for the young people of Berkeley County.”
Among the attendees, expect to see representatives from the district, members of the county delegation, and local community members.
“These top academic young adults are the future leaders and will be representing Berkeley County,” said Culley. “Please join us in recognizing these students and teachers for their outstanding hard work and dedication.”
The event will take place at 7:45 a.m. at Charleston Southern University.
The Breakfast of Champions originated in 1997 and this year will be its 17th annual event in which they honor students for their achievements in academics, service, and leadership.
