BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–After finishing third in Tuesday’s primary for county supervisor, Jerry Beckley has announced that he will support current Moncks Corner mayor Bill Peagler for the job.
Peagler will face Dan Davis in a runoff for county supervisor on June 24th.
“Mr. Peagler aligns himself with the same leadership beliefs that I have,” Beckley said. “He’s for smaller government, open transparency, conservative principals, and I believe he will work with the conservative members of council to move the county forward. The lack of leadership we have had between the supervisor and conservative members of council is troubling and I believe Bill Peagler will bridge the gap.”
Beckley is asking his supporters to elect Peagler as the next supervisor for Berkeley County.
After learning of the news, Mayor Peagler says he appreciated Beckley’s support, and said “he looks forward to working with Beckley to make Berkeley County a better place to live.”
