Famed drummer, songwriter, and singer Ringo Starr will be performing one show at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center on October 15. Joining him is his All-Starr Band, which is composed of fellow rock legends Steve Luckather of Toto, Gregg Rolie of Journey, Richard Page of Mr. Mister, Todd Rundgren of Utopia, Warren Ham and Gregg Bissonette.
Starr, who became famous as the drummer in the Beatles, has toured with 11 different versions of the All-Starr Band since 1989. While the band focuses on Beatles’ songs and Starr’s solo hits, each member has the opportunity to lead the band in a hit from his career as well.
Ringo Starr, who recently released his 17th solo album, began performing in 1960 with the Beatles. Since then, he’s found success both as a member of the Beatles and a solo artist. After releasing his first solo album just months before the Beatles parted ways, Starr has continued to create music and tour. His hits include “Photograph”/”Down and Out,” “You’re Sixteen (You’re Beautiful And You’re Mine)”/”Devil Woman,” and “The No No Song”/”Snookeroo.”
Tickets for the October 15 event will go on sale Friday, June 13 at 10:00 a.m. Purchase tickets at the North Charleston Coliseum Advance Ticket Office or at Ticketmaster outlets (including select Publix stores). Tickets are also available through charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 or online at Ticketmaster.com.
