MONCKS CORNER, S.C.–According to a spokesperson for the local chapter of the American Red Cross, volunteers assisted a family–including one adult and two children on Tuesday after a fire damaged their Moncks Corner home on Bryan Road.
The Moncks Corner Fire Department quickly responded and extinguished the flames.
Once the Red Cross arrived, they say they provided financial assistance for food and clothing and referrals to partner agencies to help with their long-term recovery.
Since January 1 of this year, the Palmetto SC Region of the American Red Cross has assisted more than 1500 individuals affected by disaster.
