BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to a spokesperson for the Berkeley Co. Sheriff’s Office, county drug enforcement agents arrested a Moncks Corner man Friday on cocaine charges.
Investigators say they arrested Curtis Lennard Smith, 43, inside his home on Longridge Rd. after carrying out a search warrant.
During the search deputies say they found and seized 192.8 gross grams of cocaine, approximately 1 gross gram of cocaine base, a 40 cal Glock pistol and close to $10,000.00 in U.S. currency.
Curtis is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing on charges of trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute and distributing cocaine base as well as unlawful possession of a pistol and felon in possession of a pistol.
