HANAHAN, S.C.—The Hanahan Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Friday morning.
Police say they were called to a house located on Old Point Road near East Recess Road in reference to a car crashing into a Hanahan home.
When they got to the scene, they found 19-year-old Terrence Kendall McNeil of North Charleston in the driver’s seat of the sedan.
Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury says the teen was pronounced dead at the scene. He added that an autopsy was conducted and his death had been ruled a homicide.
The coroner says McNeil died from several gunshot wounds to the head.
Luckily, no one inside the home was injured from the crash. Police say the garage to the house did receive a lot of damage.
At this time, no suspects have been arrested in the case and the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
