JAMESTOWN, S.C.–According to a spokesperson for the local chapter of the American Red Cross, volunteers assisted a Jamestown man after his home on Chicken Creek Road sustained minor fire damage early Wednesday morning.
The Red Cross provided financial assistance for food, comfort kits containing personal hygiene items, and referrals to partner agencies to assist with the victim’s long term recovery.
Since January 1 of this year, the Palmetto SC Region of the American Red Cross has assisted more than 1,600 individuals affected by disaster.
