K.Lee Graham of Chapin, South Carolina has plenty to celebrate.
On Saturday night, she was crowned Miss Teen USA 2014 at the Atlantis Paradise Island resort in The Bahamas.
“If I’ve learned anything from being in pageants, it’s that beauty stems from one’s integrity, character, and how they treat others,” she wrote on her blog. “Anyone can wear a flattering outfit or paint their face up pretty, but true beauty has to be developed through one’s character.”
As soon as her name was announced as the winner, she looked up and mouthed the words, “Thank you, God.” She eventually took to Twitter to express her excitement for winning the coveted title:

The 17-year-old is currently a high school junior who plans to attend the University of South Carolina and pursue a degree in the communications field after graduation.
“South Carolina is in my blood. My heritage is basically a pot of butter beans and a pan of homemade biscuits with a heaping side of Southern charm,” Graham has stated.
There were fifty-one contestants who sought the crown and title of Miss Teen USA 2014.
The contestants competed in swimsuit and evening gown and the Top 5 had to answer the Final Question. The event was hosted by Miss USA 2013, Erin Brady and Karl Schmid.
