PINEVILLE, S.C.–According to Red Cross officials, volunteers with their organization assisted a Pineville family of 3 adults and 2 children after their home on Matilda Circle was destroyed by fire Wednesday afternoon.
The Pineville Fire Department quickly responded to the scene.
A spokesperson for the American Red Cross says volunteers were able to assist the family by providing financial help for finding food and lodging, comfort kits consisting of personal hygiene items, and referrals to help agencies specializing in victim recovery.
The Palmetto SC Region of the American Red Cross has assisted more than 1600 individuals affected by disaster this year alone.
