MONCKS CORNER, S.C.-A Moncks Corner home located on Gross Avenue was badly damaged by fire on Thursday, Red Cross officials say.
After the Moncks Corner Fire Department responded to the emergency, the Red Cross stepped in with assistance for the three adults displaced by the fire.
Volunteers also provided temporary lodging and comfort kits to the family.
As an additional service, the Red Cross has put the displaced family in touch with partner organizations who will help those affected with their long-term recovery.
Since the start of 2014, the Palmetto South Carolina branch of the Red Cross has assisted 1,600 people.
