ST. STEPHEN, S.C.–According to a spokesperson for The American Red Cross, volunteers assisted one adult whose St. Stephen home, located on Happy Lane, sustained fire damage on Saturday.
The Pineville-Russellville Fire Department responded to the blaze.
The Red Cross provided financial assistance for food and lodging, as well as a comfort kit, containing personal hygiene items, and referrals to partner organizations to help with long-term recovery.
Since January 1, 2014, the Palmetto SC Region of the American Red Cross has assisted more than 1,600 individuals affected by a disaster.
