BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.—The Whitesville Rural Volunteer Fire Department, the Berkeley Co. Sheriff’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to 299 Domingo Road after authorities say a vehicle hit a child early this morning.
Troopers say the accident happened a few minutes after 6:30 a.m.
According to Berkeley Co. Coroner Bill Salisbury, 7-year-old Craig M. Little Jr. of Moncks Corner was at a school bus stop on Domingo Drive and Robbin Street when he was struck by a vehicle.
He was transported by helicopter to MUSC and died at 10:48 a.m.
His death was ruled accidental and was investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
