GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–City of Goose Creek Recreation Superintendent, Cheryl Heiselman, was awarded Professional of the Year by the South Carolina Recreation & Parks Association at this year’s annual conference in Hilton Head, S.C.
Heiselman has worked with Goose Creek Recreation since 1985 when she started her career as the department secretary.
Over the past 30 years, Cheryl’s work and influence has affected generations of children and adults in Goose Creek who participated recreation.
Recreation Director Gary Stuber said, “This award is especially designed for Cheryl because it recognizes her exceptional character, her leadership in our department and our profession, and her service and dedication to our City and State through recreation.”
