MONCKS CORNER, S.C.—According to Moncks Corner Police, a man has been charged with disorderly conduct and assault after school surveillance video caught him punching another driver in the face multiple times.
What appears to be a case of road rage all started when the alleged victim, Robert Allsbrook, was turning off of Highway 52 to pick up his daughter at Berkeley Middle School when he got in the turn lane early.
Allsbrook says Marty Richberg turned in front of him and then stopped in the road. Allsbrook told WCBD-TV that’s when he then drove around Richberg.
“I flipped him off as I was going by. I was like what is wrong with you, dude,” Richberg told Channel 2’s Raymond Owens.
The school’s surveillance video then shows Richberg exiting his truck and then walks over to Allsbrook’s car and started punching Allsbrook.
“He just kept wailing on me, you know? He really hit me so hard I had to sit back down. I couldn’t really do anything,” stated Allsbrook.
According to Lt. Michael Roach with the Moncks Corner Police Department, Richberg turned himself into police after the incident.
“I’m just looking for him to pay for my glasses that got scratched here on the lens,” he told WCIV-TV.
Richberg is now facing 30 days and a fine if convicted.
