Her last day on the job will be October 10th.
She will be joining Nexsen Pruet LLC, a major regional commercial law firm with more than 190 attorneys in 8 offices throughout the Carolinas.
She recently issued the following statement:
“A decade is a long time at any job, so I have been contemplating a change since early 2014. Nexsen Pruet is offering an opportunity that will allow me to grow as an attorney and professional, so I am looking forward to that. But, I have enjoyed working for Berkeley County and have deep appreciation for all those who supported me during my tenure,” she stated.
Ewing has worked at the county’s attorney for nearly eight years, serving in the position since 2007. Before that, she was hired as the county’s assistant attorney in 2002.
During her time with the county, Ewing has helped prepare and review county ordinances, contracts and represent the county in federal, state and local courts.
In 2010, Charleston Regional Business Journal also named Ewing its “40 under 40” winner.
