DANIEL ISLAND, S.C.—In less than a week, thieves have stolen a second Boy Scout trailer.
According to the Daniel Island News, a 2014 tandem axle trailer was stolen from the parking lot of Holly Cross Church at 299 Seven Farms Drive recently.
The trailer belonged to Boy Scout troop 519. The trailer, valued at $3,000, did not contain a logo. Boy Scout leaders were reportedly in the process of getting that done.
It’s believed the trailer was stolen between September 28th and September 30th.
The trailer thieves reportedly hooked up the trailer and pulled it hard enough to break the lock securing the chain. It’s believed that this force may have caused damage to the rear axle.
This is not the first time the Boy Scouts have become the target of trailer thieves in Berkeley County.
A Boy Scout trailer, valued at $2,500, was stolen on Courtney Road in the Sangaree area on September 29th.
If you have any information on both cases, you’re asked to contact Crimestoppers at (843) 554-1111.
