HUGER, S.C.–On Friday, Cainhoy Elementary/Middle School PTO President, Chris Hazlett, presented a check to support breast cancer research to the Cainhoy Fire Department’s Captain Bobby Wright in the school’s multipurpose room.
Captain Wright promotes breast cancer awareness and collects funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Cainhoy Principal, Anthony Dixon said, “I am happy to see that the children are taking this topic seriously and are raising breast cancer awareness in their communities.”
Many students have already purchased Cainhoy Elementary/Middle School Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirts and wore them during the presentation.
Some of the area’s breast cancer warriors and survivors also joined the students and faculty for the special ceremony.
