GOOSE CREEK, S.C.—According to Goose Creek police, on Monday shortly before 1:00 a.m. officers responded to an armed robbery at the Kangaroo Gas Station on Redbank Road.
The victim reportedly told police that the suspect walked into the store and demanded that he give him the cash from the register.
According to the victim, the suspect claimed he was moving fast enough, so he proceeded to come behind the counter and get the money himself.
The suspect then opened the register and grabbed the money from the drawer.
The victim claims the suspect ran out of the door while dropping money on his way out.
Police say the victim wasn’t sure if the suspect was armed nor did he notice a weapon.
According to the incident report, it’s estimated that the suspect may have gotten away with about $20 dollars.
While searching the area, police say they found seven $5 bills on the ground near the front door.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’07” and was last seen wearing a grey ski mask, grey sweat shirt, baggy blue jeans and white tennis shoes. He was last seen exiting the front door to the store and running towards Parish Drive.
