BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.—Do you speak another language other than English? If so, the Berkeley County School District may be looking for you.
The Berkeley County School District is launching its Berkeley Language Assistance Service and Technology (BLAST) program.
This service aims to provide support to our schools as they strive to communicate with Berkeley County’s many multilingual communities.
“We are currently seeking volunteer interpreters and translators in the following languages: Arabic, Cambodian, Cantonese, French, German, Gujarati, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese,” stated Chip Sturgis, spokesperson for the school district.
