BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Cypress Gardens invites guests to take a break from the holiday rush to enjoy their unique seasonal events, which are quickly becoming a tradition for many across the lowcountry.
On Saturday, December 6th, bring the entire family to “Santa in the Swamp” from 10:00am – 2:00pm. At 11:15 a.m., Santa Claus will arrive by boat on the blackwater swamp – an experience that only happens here in the Lowcountry! Santa will visit and take photos with both children and pets. Enjoy live holiday music, vendors with handcrafted gifts, crafts and activities for the kids, and all of the attractions Cypress Gardens has to offer. Children 12 and under are admitted free.
You won’t want to miss “A Scrooge’s Christmas Tea” on Sunday, December 7th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Join us for a full English tea as the Art and Soul Very Merry Players entertain the audience with a live rendition of the timeless Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol. The evening will conclude with a torch lit boat ride on the blackwater cypress swamp. Reservations are required for this special engagement. Tickets are $35.00 per person and must be purchased in advance by calling (843) 553-0515.
“These two events definitely capture the holiday spirit and magic of the season,” explains Heather Graham, Manager of Cypress Gardens. “ Both are unique, memorable and enjoyable ‘experiences’ that cannot be duplicated anywhere else.”
