BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Principals and representatives from this year’s Berkeley County Blue Ribbon School award winning schools, Hanahan Elementary and Hanahan Middle, recently traveled to Washington, D.C. to be recognized and receive their Blue Ribbon Awards.
The National Blue Ribbon Schools award recognizes public and private elementary, middle and high schools based on their academic excellence or progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups.
“The award affirms the hard work of students, teachers, families and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students can excel,” stated district officials. “Berkeley County School District couldn’t be prouder of these schools!”
The Blue Ribbon School award is one of countless reminders of the awesome things going on in Berkeley County School District.
Congratulations to the students, teachers, staff and families of Hanahan Elementary and Hanahan Middle Schools.
