Celebrate the holidays at the South Carolina Aquarium

Beginning this weekend, the South Carolina Aquarium will offer holiday-themed activities for visitors.

SCUBA Claus will bring cheer to everyone present during his appearances during the first three weekends in December. He will swim with his favorite underwater friends during an 11 AM and a 3 PM show on both Saturdays and Sundays. On December 22 and 23, SCUBA Claus will also take place in the two dive shows.

Visitors can immerse themselves in other seasonal fun by decorating a free snowman cookie, sampling some hot chocolate, going snowman bowling, or throwing snowballs. Young visitors can even build an igloo out of recycled materials, or play a life sized game of checkers. The holiday activities will be offered during the first three weekends of December.

The Aquarium has brought back Finzy, their Shark on the Shelf, and all visitors who find him will win a holiday prize. The search for Finzy will run through December 31.

In the 4-D theatre, The Polar Express will be shown; viewers will experience snow, feel the rumble of the train, and smell hot chocolate during the film. Visitors can be a part of this holiday film favorite through December 31.
