Deputies investigate deadly stabbing, third homicide in five days

knife BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.-According to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury around  3 a.m. Michael Haynes, 36, of Ridgeville was stabbed in the chest.

The incident happen at the Paradise Lounge on Old Gilliard Road in Berkeley County.

Salisbury says Haynes was pronounced dead on the scene.

The homicide is under investigation by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

This is the third homicide in Berkeley County in the last five days.

On Friday deputies responded to an apartment on Greenmeadow Drive in Goose Creek. There, they found 24-year-old Cordell Frazier dead from a gunshot wound.

On December 2nd, deputies also responded to a home on Judy Hill Drive in the Ladson area of Berkeley County. When they arrived on scene, they found 24-year-old Syquone Kwame Pinckney dead from a gunshot wound.
