BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.—On Saturday, Berkeley Co. deputies responded to ATP Gun Shop on College Park Road in reference to a burglary that had occurred.
When officers arrived, they went to the side of the building where they discovered someone had forced their way inside the business.
A deputy stated that he noticed that the locks were beaten off of the rear steel door to the back of the gun range. Officers also noticed a sheet rock hole made in the upper level of the ammunition storage room.
A K-9 unit then searched the building and surrounding area.
When deputies searched the inside of the facility, they say they found a black bag on the floor near a broken glass showcase in the front of the store. A hammer was found inside the bag.
Deputies eventually dusted for possible prints. While searching outside of the business, deputies say they found a black handgun by the front side door and a second black bag about thirty feet away in the parking lot.
Officers also noted that a firearm valued at $600 appeared to have been stolen from the gun shop.
After reviewing the business’ surveillance cameras, deputies were able to see three male suspects wearing dark-colored clothing on the video. Their identities are unknown at this time.
