CROSS, S.C.–According to a spokesperson with The American Red Cross, volunteers assisted one adult whose residence on Breeze Lane in Cross was destroyed by fire Monday afternoon.
The Cross County Fire Department responded to the blaze.
The Red Cross provided the victim with financial assistance for food and clothing as well as a comfort kit containing personal hygiene items.
Last year the Palmetto South Carolina Region assisted 7,118 individuals affected by disaster.
