MONCKS CORNER, S.C.–Moncks Corner Mayor Pro Tem Michael Lockliear announced Wednesday evening that an agreement has been made with a new interim Town Administrator.

Former Charleston County Administrator Rowland Windham will begin serving as Town Administrator on January 2nd, when current Town Administrator Marc Hehn becomes Berkeley County Deputy Supervisor of Operations.

To prepare for a smooth transition – Lockliear, Windham, Hehn and current Mayor and Berkeley County Supervisor-Elect Bill Peagler have planned multiple work sessions in the coming weeks.

Lockliear, who will succeed Peagler as Mayor temporarily until a March 31st special election and who has announced he will run to complete Peagler’s current term in that election, said: “I am grateful for the dedication, service and leadership Marc Hehn has given to Moncks Corner. I am also grateful for the Town and her people that Rowland will put his vast knowledge and experience to work for us.”
