Berkeley High students receive their international baccalaureate diploma

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–On December 17th, five graduates of Berkeley High School received their international baccalaureate diploma.

The IB Diploma is awarded to students who have completed the IB curriculum. This curriculum contains six subject groups combined with a three parted core.

The core is made up of extended essay, theory of knowledge and creativity/action/service.

The IB Diploma is offered by The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). The IBO, which was founded in 1968, works with 2,975 schools nationwide.

Berkeley High School became an International Baccalaureate School in March of 2011.

Throughout the nearly 3,000 schools, more than 829,000 students in 139 countries are involved in one of three challenging programs.

The BHS 2014 IB graduates are Miss Lauren McKnight, Mr. Harrison McGlothlin, Miss Dana Olheiser, Mr. Tristan Proctor, and Miss Jenna Smoak. Congratulations to all.
