BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Around 2:30 p.m. rescue crews were called out to the scene of a double fatality in Huger.
When they arrived on scene, they found both drivers deceased.
According to Berkeley Co. Coroner Bill Salisbury, 32-year-old Brian Morgan Owen Jr. of Mt. Pleasant was traveling west on Halfway Creek Road in Berkeley County when he collided with 58-year-old Elijah Cromedy of Huger who was traveling east.
Both Owens and Cromedy were pronounced dead on the scene by Salisbury.
The accident is being investigated by The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and The South Carolina Highway Patrol.
