BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–On January 19, 2015 shortly after 2 p.m. Berkeley Co. Coroner Bill Salisbury was called to a fatal accident on County Line Road and Addidas Street.
According to Salisbury, a tractor-trailer truck was traveling south on County Line Road when it struck a car coming out of Addidas Street.
The driver of the car, 74-year-old Florence Hall of Eutawville, was pronounced dead on the scene.
A passenger of the car was flown to MUSC by helicopter.
The truck driver was also transported to the hospital.
Salisbury stated that the driver of the car was not wearing a seat belt.
The passenger and truck driver were restrained.
The accident is being investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
