BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Berkeley Co. Coroner Bill Salisbury, on Monday shortly after midnight, Jan. 19th, 24-year-old Daniel Montalvo of Summerville was found on the side of Heather Drive in the Sangaree area of Berkeley County.
Salisbury stated that he had head and body trauma and was transported to MUSC.
On Wednesday, Jan. 21st he was pronounced dead at the ICU unit of the hospital.
An autopsy is being conducted as part of an ongoing investigation by The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
Salisbury stated that more information will be released as it becomes available.
