BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to school district officials, at 6:50 a.m. on Monday, a South Carolina Department of Education school bus, being used by Berkeley County School District, caught fire at Berkeley Elementary School, 106 Live Oak Drive, Moncks Corner.
A spokesperson stated that, luckily, no students or employees were injured or delayed.
Officials stated that the bus is a 1995 Thomas Transit with the capacity to transport 78 people.
The fire was reportedly caused by an oil leak.
