Howe Hall AIMS is a public magnet school that serves 420 Kindergarten through fifth grade students. The school’s mission is to include the arts as an essential component of the curriculum to optimize student achievement through a variety of learning experiences that facilitate the development of students as lifelong learners and productive citizens.
In addition to the core academic subjects, the AIMS philosophy includes standards-based instruction in dance, drama, music, visual art, physical education, and Spanish. Students have the opportunity to experience the arts through co-taught Infusion lessons, exploratory classes and arts integration in their core subjects.
Principal of Howe Hall AIMS, Chris Swetckie, said, “The entire AIMS team is extremely proud of the high quality experience we are able to offer to Berkeley County students and the tradition of excellence in academics and the arts we have established during the last thirteen years.
We are always humbled by the large number of families that apply to our school, as the high demand is a clear indicator of the strong reputation AIMS has built in the Berkeley County community. We always look forward to welcoming our new students to AIMS after the lottery and we would encourage anyone who wants to learn more about our school to attend the Open House or any of the Information Nights.”
All information sessions are scheduled for 6 p.m. on the following days: March 5, 2015 at Howe Hall AIMS, March 9, 2015 at Cross High School, March 10, 2015 at Berkeley High School, and March 12, 2015 at Timberland High School.
