BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Detectives with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office have made another arrest in a case involving the theft and recovery of over $100,000 in stolen property on January 21st.
Acting Sheriff Rick Ollic stated that 27-year-old Justin Michael Gee of Ladson was arrested by Berkeley County deputies driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck reported stolen by the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office.
According to BCSO Spokesperson Dan Moon, Gee fled the scene and a brief foot pursuit followed. He was reportedly apprehended in the area of Treeland Drive in Ladson.
Gee has been charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, evading arrest, two counts of drug-related charges and two counts of grand larceny.
He is also wanted by the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services, as well as other local law enforcement agencies. He is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center after a judge set a $100,000 surety bond.
Moon says a passenger in Gee’s vehicle, 30-year-old Robin Nicole Snyder of Summerville, was also arrested and charged with obstruction of justice. Snyder was assigned a $5,000 surety bond.
