BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office simultaneously executed four search warrants in the Goose Creek and Summerville areas Thursday resulting in the recovery of approximately $20,000 in stolen property, including two firearms.
According to BCSO Spokesperson Dan Moon, deputies with the Criminal Investigations Division, Narcotics Enforcement Unit and Selective Enforcement Team executed the warrants on two residences, one in Goose Creek and one in the Sangaree subdivision, along with a motel room in Goose Creek and a storage unit in Summerville.
Five individuals were arrested in connection with the execution of the warrants: 22 year old Christopher Dylan Mathers of Summerville; 22 year old Jordan Marshall Gee of Summerville; 22 year old Erin Elizabeth Jones of Summerville; 35 year old Thomas Edward Fox of North Charleston; and 42 year old Robert Edward Markussen of Goose Creek.
The five have pending charges which include Possession of Burglary Tools, felony-level Receiving or Possessing Stolen Property, Burglary, Possession of a Stolen Firearm and drug-related charges.
As a result of the arrests, Sheriff’s detectives will be able to close at least 6 burglary cases in the Sangaree subdivision, as well as at least one burglary in Goose Creek, one burglary in Moncks Corner and one burglary on Daniel Island.
The investigations are ongoing and additional arrests and charges are expected.
