BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Berkeley County First Steps and the Berkeley-Dorchester Head Start programs were awarded a $1,500 grant by The Cooper River Bridge Fund to organize and host the Berkeley County Youth Dash on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Berkeley Intermediate School.
Parents with children five years old and younger who attend the Youth Dash will have the opportunity to participate in a Diaper Derby, a Wellness Festival and the Dash itself. During the Dash, children will crawl, wobble, walk or run along a short course to promote healthy lifestyles and regular exercise regimens and all participants will receive awards.
The purpose of the event is to help families gear up for the Bridge Run.

On-site registration starts at 9 a.m. and the Dash will begin at 10 a.m. Parents are encouraged to register online at www.EventBrite.org or www.BerkeleyCountyFirstSteps.org.
