BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to the Berkeley Co. Coroner’s Office, on March 15th at approx. 8 p.m., 35-year- old Derrick Lawrence of Moncks Corner was a passenger in a Honda sedan traveling on Wildgame Road in Berkeley County.
The sedan went off the right side of the roadway, over corrected, went off the left side striking a power pole and overturned several times.
Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle and were not wearing seatbelts.
Lawrence was pronounced dead on the scene by Chief Deputy Coroner George Oliver.
The death has been ruled accidental and the cause of death was multiple body trauma.
The accident is being investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the S.C. Highway Patrol.
