BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Math (GSSM) is bringing iTeams Xtreme, a free day camp for rising seventh and eighth graders, to Berkeley County.
The day camp will be at Berkeley High School, 406 West Main Street, Moncks Corner, Monday, July 27, 2015 through Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. daily.
Students will participate in challenges that include creating Xtreme mobile apps, Xtreme interactive objects using Makey Makey and Scratch, and Xtreme 3D models. GSSM will hire local teachers and GSSM alumni will participate as assistants and role models.
Students will be selected based on grades and interest. The four-day program includes instructional materials, daily snacks and a pizza party on the final day.
