ST. STEPHEN, S.C.–American Red Cross disaster-trained volunteers were on the scene following an early morning fire, which destroyed a home, located on Betaw Street, St. Stephen, of a family of three adults.
The St. Stephen Fire Department responded to the blaze.
The Red Cross provided funds for food and clothing, as well as comfort kits, containing personal hygiene items, and referrals to partner agencies to assist with the family’s long term recovery.
Last year, the Palmetto South Carolina Region assisted more than 7,000 individuals affected by disaster.
