BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C–According to Berkeley Co. Coroner Bill Salisbury, on April 1, 2015 at 11:10 a.m. a moped was traveling north on Jedburg Road when it collided with an 18 wheeler.
Salisbury stated that the truck was coming off I-26 and was turning left on Jedburg Road.
The driver of the moped was pronounced dead on the scene by Coroner Salisbury.
The accident is being investigated by The SC Highway Patrol and The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office.
The name of the driver of the moped will be released after notification of the next of kin.
