Moncks Corner Applebee’s To Reopen In Mid-June

applebeesBERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The Moncks Corner Applebee’s is slated to reopen for business next month, according to the restaurant’s official Facebook page.

“Now that the contractors have had a chance to really get in the store and check everything out, the expected re-opening date has moved to mid June,” reads the post.

The restaurant shut down in late-February after a fire damaged the inside during non-business hours.

The Moncks Corner Rural Fire Department, Whitesville Rural Fire Department and Moncks Corner Fire Department quickly responded to the scene.

“The bad news…there was a fire at the restaurant and we are closed for remodeling. The good news…NO ONE was hurt!” an earlier post read. “We want to thank the Moncks Corner Fire Department, Moncks Corner Rural Fire Department, and Whitesville Rural Fire Department for responding quickly and taking care of us!”

According to firefighters on scene, the fire started in the trash can located inside the manager’s office.
